how can i get more free space on my computer? i have already tried fragmenting it and deleting the cookies and such, so what are some things i could do to free space up ?

Also, try doing a 'Disk Sweep' is you found the degrag by going to 'start' 'programs' 'accessories' 'system tools' you'll see 'disk cleanup' that will also free some space.
ALN424 answered Sunday April 16 2006, 9:50 am: go into control panel, then add/delete programs. look at EVERYTHING in there, and delete anything that you haven't used for a while, or anything that you aren't planning on using in the near future. this should clear up plenty of disk space. hope this helps

Left click the C: drive and click properties. You should see a button that says "Disk Cleanup". Click that and let it run.
Make sure that after you delete files, you empty your recycle bin. Files you delete from your computer are never completely deleted so you could think about downloading a program that will erase them permanently from your hard drive. I suggest SecureClean.
You can also try uninstalling unneeded Windows components. This is located under the same window as add/remove programs is. Uninstall the things you don't need.
Spyware can build up on your computer and take up a lot of free space, so it's a good idea to download a spyware scanner to get rid of it all.
If you do all of this but still feel like you need more free space, you could buy an external hard drive which hooks up to your computer via USB 2.0 ports.
