Dear Friend,

Grooming mogul Kyan Douglas says that if you need to shave every day, you're just not doing it properly!

Try these tips:

1) Invest in a high-quality razor with at least three blades: the extra blades will cut hair closer to the roots, which will make your legs smoother, longer.

2) To ensure you're applying enough pressure on the razor, hold it relatively close to the blades. This simple act can help you remove twice as much hair.

If you are shaving every day, you should be replacing your razor less than once a week. A sharp blade is your key to success.

Shaving this often is by no reckoning a 'bad' idea, but keep in mind that the shins are the dryest part of your body. Exfoliate regularly and moisturise daily, especially following hair removal, to keep them silky.

Happy shaving,

Ainsley.

Shaving every day is fine. And the hair growing in darker and thicker is a myth. If I skip shaving for a few days, my body hair is still blond and fine.

Someone once told me that they shave with conditioner(like for your hair)and the hair grows in softer so that she can skip a day and be fine.

I know you have your heart set on a shaving, but something else you could do(besides waxing-ouch) would be using a depilatory(sp?). It's like a cream that you put on your legs and it melts away the hair, pretty much. Some of them even come with little bladless razors so you can feel like you're actually shaving. Heh. But if you have really sensitive skin, I wouldn't go for it, because they can burn.

Sorry to tell you this, but the more you shave, the darker and thicker your hairs will get! If you can, try waxing the hair seems to grow back better, it's easier to maintain as well. With waxing, you can go up to 3 months without having to wax again, and you're legs are much smoother. Waxing works better because it actually rips the roots out, which is why it takes longer for the hair to grow back. But there is a downside: you have to (unfortantely) wait until you're hair grows back an inch until you can wax again! If waxing doesn't seem like it's for you, i have another idea that works for some people! Hopefully, you are not dry-shaving make sure you use lots of moisturizing shaving cream. So, use a cold cloth on your legs before applying shaving cream until you see goosebumps on your legs, then apply the shaving cream in a cool atmosphere, that way, when you have goosebumps your pores open up, and you can shave closer to your roots. See if this works for you! Let me know!
Goodluck!

don't worry i have that problem too, the best thing to do is wax them, it gets rid of hairs from their roots so it takes longer for them to grow back. You can buy wax strips from most drugs stores so they're not that hard to find and it doesn't hurt much once you've done it a couple of times and it should leave you smoother for longer.

1. No, unfortunately, the hair on your legs grow really fast, so there's nothing you can really do. I know you want to shave, but may I suggest using Nair or something like that? It isn't painful at all and would last longer than shaving.

2. Shaving every day isn't harmful at all, just remember to use moisturizer, so the skin doesn't dry out. ^_^

Shaving every day is not harmful, after all men do it don't they?
It sounds as though you have quite dark hair for them to show so quickly so you could try having them waxed or sugared. This takes the hairs from the roots so they take longer to reach the surface of the skin. It also means that the hairs will grow back with their usual pointed ends instead of the stubby flat ends you get from shaving, so they shouldn't be so obvious so soon. Good luck.
