This is not Myspace (although I hate the fact that you can put music on that too), this is a place to show your advice column. If someone clicks on your name, there's very little chance they did it to find out your taste in music.
Not only that, but for the people with dial-up, it takes exponentially longer to load up a person's page that has music, moving abckgrounds, or pop-up messages. And, the only person who thinks these things are cool are the people who post them. Everyone else finds them to be an annoyance.
You want your advice column to stand out? Then give good advice. Flashy text and HTML embed tags are not the way to go. [ K3587's advice column | Ask K3587 A Question ]
