Cheering Up

Question Posted Thursday April 6 2006, 6:31 pm

My boyfriend has been having a really rough time lately, and I just want to do something special for him to cheer him up and show him how much I care and will always be there for him. But I'm a little lost on ideas...if you have any, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks <3

set up a picnic in either 1) your backyard or 2) your living room (but move the furniture out of the way) then make him his favorite foods, turn the lights down low, and put on some music... when he comes over he will be surprised... tell him you will always be there for him. ** HINT ** always pack grapes.... then eat them seductively XD

give him a treat or a gift...something form the heart a note or poem or get him a cd with "your" song on it or a dvd he really likes...a note is probably the best idea because he will always read it when he thinks of you...i know i did when my girl gave me that!

When my bf (well, now my ex)was going through a hard time, I did something that he really liked a lot. I wrote 30 phrases/things that I like about him on 30 small pieces of paper. Then I got 30 hershey kisses. Once you write something on one piece of paper, fold it a couple of times until it's small, then set a hershey kiss (wrapped) on top of it, and wrap the whole thing with cute tissue paper and tie the top. I put them all in a heart shaped box, and gave it to him with a note explaining that he's not allowed to open more than one each day. He looked forward to unwrapping each one every day, for a whole month! You can do that with other food, or other things depending on what he likes! And make sure to make each little note personal, and about your relationship and HIM... general things like "you are the best bf" don't really mean all that much. Something like "no one has ever made me as happy as you make me everyday" will mean more!

Other than that, now that the weather is getting nicer, take him to an amusement park or something that you haven't done in a while because of the winter. Or buy him something "just because." Basically do something special that you don't do every single day! Good luck!

SURPRISE HIM!! seriously just one day randomly show up on his door step and tell him you need him to come with you. ((make sure he'll be available to do something before you go surprising him!)) then just kind of go on a walk to a park somewhere.. maybe have a picnic, just do something ya'll wouldn't usually do together so he'll remember it. When ya'll get to the park or are just walking together don't remind him of the tough things he's going through just remind him of how lucky you are to have him and just kinda boost up his ego... this is much easier and way more fun that writing some poem or something! good luck!!

-write him something about him to let him know how you really feel & that you care about him
-spend the day with him doing whatever he likes
