What do I do about this guy?

Question Posted Sunday April 2 2006, 6:47 am

So I was searching around a site similar to Myspace when I saw this guy's pictures. He was in a place I absolutely love to vacation at, so I sent him a message. It turns out he goes to my old school.

We've been talking for a while, only on the computer. He keeps bringing up how we flirt, and wanting to date me, and wanting to meet me. He says it in a certain way, as if he wants to know how I feel before he asks me, but he is so obvious. I know for sure he isn't some creepy old guy, but I really don't like him that way. I guess I just can't develop feelings for a person I've met only through the internet.

He's a nice person, and I think he really likes me, so how can I tell him I don't feel the same, and I don't want to meet him?

Next time he starts to make a move on you, just tell him that you think you two should just be friends. Maybe it would be okay to meet, but just as friends. Ask him if when you meet you can bring a friend along. You could double =)

Hey,

This won't be too hard, because it is not like you are going to be seeing him everyday...

I think you should just come out and tell him straight forward. That you just do not feel the same way about him. You think he is a good friend, but you just do not like him like he likes you.

I don't think meeting him would be a good idea either. Like if you were still planning on meeting him, I think you should reconsider that. I mean especially with all of things that happen to people who meet over the internet.

Well I hope all goes well...

ok well first of all, never EVER agree to meet him unless your in a public place with lots of people and your parents are with you. People may not always be who they say they are online. im not saying this guy isnt who he says he is, but just be careful. I would just im him saying hes a nice guy and all, but you just dont feel the same way about him that he does about you. and about meeting him, say you just wouldnt feel comfortable meeting him in person. hope i helped! ♥dAnieLLe'

Aw well you should aim to tell him in the nicest way possible. If he really likes you, making him sad will happen inevitably. Maybe say something along the lines of "I think you're a really cool guy, but I just don't feel that way about you." Telling him you don't like him as more than a friend is better than leading him on. Good luck & I hope all goes well.
