Friend Trouble!

Question Posted Friday March 31 2006, 4:11 pm

Sometimes, my friend Liv tends to make a huge deal out of things that don't really matter. It's also hard for me to talk to her because she doesn't talk well, she yells and gets mad and is mean. What can I do?

i am supposedly that way. because im senstive and take things to the heart and think way to much about it. im bipolar and i blow up when i get easily aggravated.

ive had my friends tell me that i go all hysterical when we have a conversation that upsets me.

most of the time its from keeping something bottled up and when an oppurtunity comes to get it out it justs happens even if you dont want it to.

ask her if theres anything she wants to talk about and let her know your always there for her. and when you want to talk to her about something let her know before hand and you want it to be serious with no yelling and no going out of control if she asks why you said that tell her that well get more accomplished that way and its easier to talk calmly to get things out and yelling at your friends shouldnt be a way to release anger.

basically, talk to her.
if she doesnt stop it. then dont talk to her.
it should drop a hint.
its dropped quite a few for me.

I've gone through that.
At first I would get mad and tell her it wasn't a big deal, yet it made it worse --

If you two are really good friends, then you should get her calm and sit down and talk to her about it. But if that doesn't work, there really isn't anything else that you can do. Some poeple are just like that.

A*xo

maybe she doesn't realize how she reacts. you should try telling her what she does and if she doesn't take that too well just don't tell her things and maybe shell take a hint

All you can do is try to talk to her in a calm normal voice and when she starts getting mad or yelling tell her that you are not going to talk to her anymore untill she can talk to you in a calm normal voice and give you the same respect you give her. Tell her that you do not deserve to be yelled at and treated in that manner and therefore you will not allow her to do so. And when she wants to talk to you in a calm normal voice with no yelling to come find you and then you will talk. But untill then you don't want to hear anything she has to say. It may sound harsh but you have to be tough with her and stand your ground on this. I hope it helps. Good luck.
