erythisis answered Monday March 27 2006, 9:49 pm: Provided the condom was stored properly and used before expiration (yes they do expire), there is very little chance. However, rough (or anal) sex increases the chance of breaking. [ erythisis's advice column | Ask erythisis A Question ]
Vikki27 answered Sunday March 26 2006, 4:19 pm: To be honest, it's not all that uncommon as they are only made of thin latex. However, it usually only breaks during particularly vigorous sex.
I would recommend that if you are considering it as a form of contraception, you back it up by getting yourself put on The Pill. This is what people in Holland call 'Going Double Dutch'. You use the condom to protect against infection and disease and, as they can break and naturally are only around 93% effective as a method of contraception, whereas the Pill is 99.9% effective as a contraceptive but doesn't protect against infection or disease. Using both together, you're pretty much completely safe. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]

jealousyxo answered Sunday March 26 2006, 3:37 pm: From what ive heard, its like a 3% chance of a condom breaking.I think its a greater chance though if you dont know how to use one or arent to careful, but if your used to it and know what your doing then the chances should be lower of it to break.
