okay well for english i have to write a research paper on the book Of Mice and Men and im a little confused on what/how to right it
my too promps are
1. was George justified in killing lennie
2. Do ior dont i suport either mercy killing or capital punishment
we have been given 5 days in class to write not cards and get quotes from unrelated sources and im so confused
i believe we have to have 3 "suports" for each topic and atleast 10 quotes total in the paper
(both promps are each a paragraph plus 2 other paragraphs atleast)
and it really doesn't have to do with the book its just those topics ingeneral and i use the book for support. Want to answer more questions in the Work & School category? In my opinion georges actions of killing lennie were justified because think about it, lennie was going to be killed by the other men. George rather have him kill him because he is his friend. Think about what Candy did, he didnt kill his dog, but he regretted it because later on he said I rather have killed him myself...or something like that. Anyways, that website really helps!

He put Lennie out of a world where he could not comprehend anything and into a world where he could relax and be himself. If he hadn't killed Lennie, both of the men would have to continue running from the police for the rest of their lives. And with a guy as big as Lennie, it wouldn't be hard to spot them. Plus, George promised his Aunt Clara he would keep Lennie safe. And he is doing that by killing Lennie, as horrible and cruel as that sounds. But keeping him alive in a world where everyone is going to be searching to kill him would not be upholding his promise to his Aunt Clara.
The second prompt would be totally up to you.
I'm just trying to help. I'm in Honors English and we also read this book and wrote an essay analyzing the characteristics of one of the chatacters. I chose George and analyzed his protectveness for his companion. Also I justified him killing Lennie. I got a 158/160 so I figured I could help. If you need anything else just go to my Inbox! Hope I helped. [ Christeena's advice column | Ask Christeena A Question ]

use the "jane schaffer" method. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
for the first prompt, yes i believe George was justified in killing Lennie. If he didnt, Curly wouldve savagly killed him. Also, he did it in a rightous way by reminding Lennie of thier dreams, and also putting the gun in the place that would hurt the least.
