why is my boss being so nice?
Does anyone have any insight into why my boss has suddenly turned a 180 degree on me? She always used to be pretty nasty to me. I was kind of afraid of her somedays because she could yell at me and be really hard on me. Lately though she's been SOO nice. She told me twice today what an awsome job I've been doing. This one lady that used to be one of her favorites found a better job. She had seniority over me. She is still working for us but has restricted hours. She hasnt been showing up; and today my boss told me that she wasnt going to give this lady any more hours and that I could have them. Do you think this has something to do with her attitude change? Also do you think it got back to the manager how she had been treating us and she got talked to?

It's hard to say but it's possible that word got round about her unacceptable behaviour. There's a lot of 'office politics' which Managers tend to get involved in. It means they can get away with treating their staff like dirt but in most cases, unless they are friends with their Manager, it will come back and bite them in the behind!!
It might also be that something in her personal life has changed. Perhaps there have been problems at home that she's had trouble dealing with for a while and she's been taking all the stress out on your and your colleagues. If it's now cleared up, she might be feeling more pleasent.
Sadly, there's no sure-fire way of knowing what's caused her change in temperment but do you know what I say? Make the most of it cos you never know when she's going to turn again!!!

well um yeh maybe she has changed maybe she got tired of being mean to you so she tried being nice to see what type of person you really are or maybe because of this lady that left maybe because she always ahs a new favourite or something just talk to her and ask her what could possibly happen well i hope i helped take care mwa mwa

It could be you're her new "favorite" because of this lady. I had a high-school teacher last year who picked one student to hate with the white-hot fury of a thousand suns, and a student to dote upon as though he/she was royalty. Usually, she picked best friends. Unfortunately, I was the one she hated with the buring white-hot passion of a thousand suns, and my best friend the one she trted like a queen. The rest of the students she was VERY nsaty to (I got specail treatment) so NO ONE liked her, not even my friend (seeing as we were all smart enough to figure out what she was doing). Apparent;y she did this EVERY year. Anyways, it IS very possible you're her new 'favorite.' On the other hand though, she could have just gone through a turn around in her personality. You said she used to yell at you- did she yell at the other employees, too? If so, does she yell at THEM now that she's being extremely nice to you? If she's still mean to them, you're probably right in suspecting she just chose a new favorite. If she's nicer to them, then it's possible she just...grew a heart. x.x

may be she was wrong about you when she first saw you
and somthing happened proved her wrong ,its as simple as that.:)try looking at things more simply.
