When I got my nose pierced, there was a bump that formed by the piercing, which looked funny and was vaguely creepy. I went back to my original piercer, and she said that the piercing was too small (in length) and it was pinching my nose. The dead skin was building up, and couldn't go anywhere, even though I was cleaning it, because the jewelry was too tight. I got a looser nose screw and it almost immediately went away. This occurred about 2 months after I got it pierced. Don't call the piercer-they'll just tell you they don't know unless they see it. I recommend going into the shop. And don't see a doctor, they ALWAYS recommend that you take them out. I'm not sure why. A good resource if you've got future piercing questions is bmezine.com. Hope this helped.
