I need to find the five most significant discoveries in chemistry since 1970 and I've been searching google.com but I can't find anything. Would anyone be able to find me a website that has what I need?
Thank you.

She was the one who discovered the opiate receptors in the brain. This discovery could eventually lead to helping those with drug addictions. She did not win a Nobel Prize for this but I think it was worthy of one. It could be because she was only 26 at the time and they felt she wasn't seasoned enough. Below is a web site with a compilation of all chemists who won the Nobel Prize. I would think any of these would be considered significant. Good luck in your project.

Not everyone is going to agree which discoveries are the most significant. I think the best approach is to google the terms history and chemistry and compile a list of all major discoveries. Be sure to check out multiple sources on the history of chemistry and discoveries and you should be able to see 5 big ones that are most often mentioned, and therefore very significant.
