birth mark
since i was born ive had a huge birth mark on my neck. it hasnt really bothered me until this year. it makes me so self-conscious. its covered up pretty well when my hairs down, but you can still see it a little. but i do sports all year and i have to put my hair up and it just makes me so self-conscious like everyones staring at me. a few people have asked me about it and its so embarassing. i never wear my hair up for school or dances. only sports because i absolutely have to. i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get rid of it besides surgery because i know my parents wont go for that. thanks.

As far as I know there is no remedy that will get rid of your birthmark. My daughter has a scar on her cheek and the plastic surgeon advised going to the cosmetic counter at Penneys or Yonkers. We found some at Penneys that works very well, it seems to stay on even when the weather is hot and humid.
What we found was called Dermablend, my daughter uses the make up and the concealor in the little jar. It takes a little experimentation to get the shade right, but they will usually let you try on samples.

i know your pain. i have a "beauty mark" next to my lip. i HATE IT!!! i've been asked about it and it really hurts but i just say its a birth mark. (when i think its a mole) i want it removed but my parents won't go for that till later maybe. I would say if you can't get rid of it, enjoy it. its who you are! screw anyone that doesnt like it or thinks its wierd. just think it makes u Unique. and Unique is good. then if that doesnt work...think of all the things that are gorgeous or beautiful about you. pretty soon you'll forget it. good luck and tell me if i helped

I have no idea..I mean, you could try cover-up..? But other than that, I don't think there's anyway to get rid of it besides surgery (which obviously isn't an option for you.) Just accept it..I mean I have a birthmark on my left hand, right shoulder, etc..and yeah sometimes it makes me self-conscious, but I realize that there's nothing I can do about it. So I think the best thing for you to do is accept it. If anyone asks, tell them that it's a birthmark..Infact, in some countries, if you have a birthmark on certain areas, you're considered lucky! But IDDDK..I'm sure you're beautiful with or without birthmark! Hope I helped.

hey i am a 17 year old guy and i have a birth mark on my head and i feel that way about it to the only thing that you can do is learn to except it i know that it is really hard but after you realize that it is there to stay than you learn not to let it bother you so much. and peiple have made fun of me cuz of mine but i dont let them bother me and more after i told them that i was born with it and told them a little about it then the realized that there is nothing wrong with it and the makeing fun quit well i hopr that my advice help's you out

Don't try to get rid of a birthmark.. they are what make you.. well yourself.... If people ask about it and make fun of you about it.. they must be self absorbed or self concious! Don't what people say influence what you think of yourself!
