okay so over the winter i got myself a little belly.. i mean i only weigh 113 pounds and im 16.. but i have like a gut and its not very attractice, i just want a flat stomache. I dont wanna run out in the cold because it hurts my lungs but i wanna get started now on fixing my stomach so its nice by summer. Does anyone know anything i can do like a certain cruch or sit up or take or diet pill or something?!?!
xoMarisox answered Sunday February 26 2006, 3:15 pm: What I do every night before I go to bed is do 20 sit ups. Then, the nest week, I do 25 and everyweek I keep on adding 5 sit ups. It works really well! My goal is to have a flatter stomach by spring break, if I reach my goal, I will reward myself! [ xoMarisox's advice column | Ask xoMarisox A Question ]

Running is a good cardio workout for the entire body, but it won't most likely get rid of your belly. I think old fashioned sit-ups are great! Do like 50 a day and you'll see good results. Crunches are also helpful, do reps of 25 to 100 a day. If you find yourself not liking any of those methods, try a workout video like pilates (known for tightening the entire body.) You could also invest in a "body ball" which brings several different workouts you can do in your home. Most importantly, watch what you eat. Eating healthy foods and avoiding foods like soda, candy, beer, etc. will reduce the size of your stomach. Well, I hope I was helpful! [ JuIcYxBabeE19's advice column | Ask JuIcYxBabeE19 A Question ]
Julesianne answered Sunday February 26 2006, 12:23 pm: you definetly dont need a diet pill. that would be dangerous for you. youre not overweight at all, youre actually skinny for your age. but if you want to tighten up those abs i suggest an ab workout every other day and cut back on junk food. i do two seasons of track and we do ab workouts all the time. its not good to do it everyday because itll strain your muscles, which is why i suggest every other day at the most. make sure you do a continuous (no stopping) set. start out easy with 4 minutes. then work your way to 6. then eventually youll be doing 8 no problem. some of my favorites include 6 inches (lay flat on your back and raise your legs (keeping them straight) up and down but dont touch the floor.. come down 6 inches above the floor. do about 15 and hold on number 5, 10, and 15 for 10-20 seconds. another one is when you lean back as far as you can and put your hands together and move them from one side of your body to the other. about 60 times. the further you lean back.. the more it works. sitting against the wall is good for your abs too. see how long you can hold yourself up. i've got more if you need them! dont hesitate to inbox me for them if you want :-) [ Julesianne's advice column | Ask Julesianne A Question ]
TheLoveDoctor answered Sunday February 26 2006, 11:48 am: do regular crunches, i do at least 100 a day.
and also, to work your sides of your abs i also do bicycle crunches.
to do these you lay on the floor with your hands behind your head like you would do sit ups but your legs are in the air pedaling as if you were on a bike, then as you are "pedaling" bring your lfet elbow diagonally across to touch your right knee then bring your right elbow diagonally across to touch your left knee while keeping your hands behind your head. do it as fast or as slow as you want and i usually just stop when i get tired but you can feel it working your muscles [ TheLoveDoctor's advice column | Ask TheLoveDoctor A Question ]
