right, i know people wont like this question as 100's of other people ask the same thing. but i actually do need to lose weight, i need to loose 36 pounds to be my right weight for my height.

my career actually depends on this, i want to join the army or royal marines (i live in the UK) so yeah this needs to happen by about this time next year.

i am so desperate to do this healthily and slowly so i won't put all the weight back on.

i just have NO willpower at all, i say i wont eat chips/chocolate/fizzy drinks.. and i do i just can't help it.. i think im also addicted to carbs i can't stop eating potato based foods.. chips/fries/chocolate that kind of stuff.

so if any one has any tips on how to stick to this, i know what i have to eat/excersise etc but how can i stick to this and not give into carbs??

If you have a problem not being able to resist foods like that, just don't buy them.

If you live with your family or a roommate, and they aren't willing to keep junk food out of the house, make them hide it from you so you can't have any.

Another thing you could do is go on one of those diets where you buy the food from them and you eat only that for a month or whatever(i.e. Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig...I don't know what you have in the UK). That way you could keep only that food in the house and you won't be tempted to eat anything else.

Also, get your friends to be supportive about this. When you go out, have them remind you to order a salad or something healthy, and no matter how much you beg, they can't give you junk food or share theirs with you.

You need to keep reminding yourself that your job depends on this. It's not just you wanting to look better. If you don't do this, you can't join the army. Keep that in mind. You can't follow your dream if you don't stick to this.

i have problems with all of that too. trust me i know how it feels. start running every morning and night. get yourself in physical and mental shape. it took me sometime but i lost 45 pounds easily and not im an excellent track star. as for the food.. your going to need to cut down on them. they really are horrible.. i know they are delicious but lol just try it. and to not give into carbs.. maybe you could pick another food you like alot. something healthy that tastes good too. and get rid of all the bad foods in your house.

well if you live by your self dont keep that in the housse. bake a sweet patato. they tastte excellenct. by diet coke or whatever. do crunches and everything. think how much u want it. eat three meals a day and spred them apart. eat SLOW. it makes you more full. =]

Well for sticking to eating healthy you just have to find a healthy food that tastes good for you. For me it was carrots and then carrots and dip. Bannas are also tastey. You just have to go buy the food and put it somewhere you can see it and take your junk food and keep it somewhere or have your parents put the junkfood away somewhere. For your fizzy drink problem you can drink diet pop. For your potato problem I would say just eat mash potatoes instead of everything else. Sticking to exercising do not stop I mean keep going until you feel you can't no more. Also listening to music helps you achieve this. I suggest Megadeth. Hope you loose the weight and once you complete your exercising for the first time you will feel great! Its a chemical thats released after you exercise lots that makes you be happy.
