My Best Friend in the Whole world wants to commit Suicide
My Best friend, is honestly considering suicide. He's messed up so much in his life. He has cheated on his girlfriend twice, and he even cheated on me when we were dating and he messed up really bad during our relationship, his mom recently died while we were dating and i helped him so much and now, i dont even know how to help him hes so messed up. He does weed around 3-4 times a day he even goes to school stoned. I've tried to get him to cut back and even quit but its honestly useless. His girlfriend found about the 2nd time of cheating and totally bitched him out and wont even talk to him. He IMed me on Aim and tells me he's going to commit suicide and i've been trying to get him to settle down and talk through it i even left him a voicemail, and im just so scared he'll actually do it... PLZ HELP ME I DONT KNO WT TO SAY ANYMORE TO HIM...
THANK YOU IF YOU CAN HELP IM ON THE VERGE OF CRYING BECAUSE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH AND I CANT TAKE ANOTHER PERSON DYING THIS YEAR...

one of my really good friends was honestly talking about committing suicide as well a couple of years ago. when he told me i couldnt believe what i was hearing. it turned out that he had been experimenting with cutting too. he told another one of his friends, who happened to me my best friend. luckily she knew what to do and saved his life. he made her promise not to tell anybody for obvious reasons, and she did that for a while, however, she got really scared and wound up telling a physciatrist at our school. she immedietly began counseling with him and his dad (hes mom had also passed away) and soon enough he was better and living a much healthier life. youre doing the right thing by comforting him and trying to talk him through it and you should keep doing that, but if you love him as much as you say you do I would get help for him. tell an adult you trust as soon as you can because you dont want it to be too late. he might be mad at you after you spill his secret, but he'll forgive you once he realizes that you saved him from doing something very regretful.

You need to let an adult know what is going on. He will probably be mad at you, but at least you won't be attending his funeral.
