The week before your menstrual cycle your body is producing the greatest amount of testosterone. Testosterone is the primary male anabolic steroid hormone. They are producing it all of the time. Women, on the other hand, produce it also but mainly one week before your monthly visit. Testosterone is also responsible for the aggressive behavior that women exhibit prior to their menstrual cycle. And if you feel restless and can't sleep? Yep, it is a contributing factor. What you need to do is work off some of that nervous energy and that can be done simply by taking a walk or some form of exercise. This will help you sleep at night. The week before your cycle is also a good time to quit eating anything dairy. Dairy cows are kept on hormones to keep their utters lactating. These hormones find their way into your milk, cheese, ice cream or anything else made with commercial dairy products. There are organically raised cows, which are milked. I recommend that if you are going to eat dairy you eat this type of product instead of the commercially produced items in your stores. You can usually find these products in your local health food store and some forward thinking grocery stores like Kroger or Ingles. In these stores there is usually a special section of the store sanction out for health food. You will find these items there instead of the dairy section of the store. You should also eat more fresh fruits and vegetables during this time. Believe it or not you will feel much better if you do. Good luck!
clearlypink428 answered Tuesday February 21 2006, 4:16 pm: it could very well be that youre just stressed for one reason or another. i know thats how my body works. if i get too worked up over something, i feel EXTREMELY tired. the cramps probably dont have anything to do with you being so tired. i get HORRIBLE cramps every other month, and i know just what youre feeling. feels like you wanna kill everyone that comes near you. o big deal. i would suggest carrying a small bottle of tylenol in your purse, or better yet, keeping one in your locker. always works for me. also, drink alot of water. cut down on juice and pop, too. hope i helped. take care. spitfire9631@yahoo.com [ clearlypink428's advice column | Ask clearlypink428 A Question ]
ThugGirl041790 answered Tuesday February 21 2006, 2:52 pm: Well if you are on your period then thats probably the reason for the cramps and being tired.. I went to the doctor for this and i had low iron so the doctor told me i was anemic.. ANd thats from having low iron and not enough protein which made sense because i don`t eat meat and that has alot of protein.. I would take midol, tylenol or advil for the cramps and if it continues to be real bad to see a doctor..
The reason i mentioned about me being anemic is because maybe you are too..[Its not something real serious] But if you`d like go get checked out..
BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ answered Tuesday February 21 2006, 1:24 pm: hey well i think its your period. im not sure but i think seeing the nurse was a good idea. it could also be appendicitis depending on where the cramps are. if they are on your lower right side its that. but in the middle its period pains. well also take tums and midol. advil works to. dont overdose yourself. cait ♥ [ BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ's advice column | Ask BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ A Question ]
