just try to relax. take a few deep breaths. most instructors know that you'll be nervous. it couldn't hurt to let your instructor know how nervous you are.

Quite simply, if an instructor yells at you or is impatient with you in any way, change instructors! Generally instructors are very patient with first-time drivers - if he or she is not then just change! You don't pay money in a restaurant and say nothing if you are dissatisfied with the service, so don't accept the same from an instructor.

picture your instructor doing something really embarassing like falling down a flight of stairs (but he doesn't get hurt) or crying (even though there is nothing wrog with crying) and try to have confidence even if you don't have any
