wheres the cheapest place to find things to decorate your room
and what in your opinion is the best wall color!
its lime green now ( yuck..)
thanks! i rate 5's
Also depends on your style. If you're really energetic or like an art kid, bright colors. If you use your house as a place to relax, cool colors. Also, pay attention to what kind of light you have. If your lamplight is pink-toned and you've got green walls, eek.
You should pick a repeating color in your furniture, but not the main one, and use that color as the room color.
A lot of paint stores sell teeny jars of paint for a couple bucks, which you can paint a swatch of wall with. I've found their colors to be a lot more accurate than the color sqaures.
Oh, and if your rooms are small, dark colors can make them seem like a coffin. Take a look at your carpet color, too. Brown carpet plus grey walls equals bad. You can always paint the furniture, too (or cover it). Hope this helps. [ oodles_of_noodles's advice column | Ask oodles_of_noodles A Question ]

As for color.... I'd go to your local paint store, or hardware store.... grab a handful of those paint chip chart things.... of colors you feel the strongest about.... go with you deepest feelings.... and then take them home and set them in your bedroom.... for all times of the day and night under all lighting conditions...
Stay away from dark, real bright colors.... in your bedroom you want softer more relaxing colors free of intense and strong vibrations.... I tend to use white alot as everything goes with it and you'd be surprised at all the things you can do with it and how many shades of white there really are.... also, if there are houses close to yours consider what color they are because the light will bounce of their into your room if close enough. A good example is the neighbor to my west.... there house is a medium yellow and altho my bedroom is a light warm white... my warm has shades of yellow because of their house and the light bouncing off it...
Good luck...and remember those colors that make you feel good are your absolute best choices.... give those colors chips a week or so for you to feel the colors for what they offer and would add to your life and the experiences you'll have inyour room.... STACEESxADVICE answered Monday February 13 2006, 7:01 pm: Well, you can always try Ebay. [www.ebay.com] They have pretty inexpensive goods. I'm not positive about the quality, but they normally come with full descriptions and/or pics.

Teza answered Monday February 13 2006, 6:16 pm: I think that Target has some cute stuff for rooms.
Well, what things are you into. When I was re-doing my room, I kind of picked a theme. Before, my room was lilac and it didn't mach. I'm not a very big fan of having everything matchy matchy, but I wanted to go for something bright so I chose neon orage. Now, my room is very colorful and bright and I love it.
So, pick a theme color. I love bright and bold colors so if I had to re paint my room, I would go for a dark pink color. Also, turquoise, different shades or green, orange, blues, purple, white, are all pretty colors to choose from. Then find small rugs that match or whatever you like. Just use your imagination and the things you like, go for it. Target isn't expensive and you can also try Walmart and Kmart. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

As for colors, I think that you should go for a neutral color that isn't very bright. That way you won't get sick of it very fast. It also depends with what color your door and the wall frames are. Here is a website with some color samples. You can also go to a hardare store, get samples, and tape them to your wall to see whether it would look good or not.
