Page background color: This refers to the page background color, if you wanted it to be black, you would type in black, or the html code.
Page background image (URL): This is if you want a picture for your background. You would paste the url in this part.
Page text: This is the main color of text for your page.
Page links: This is the color of the font for your links.

It's just like it sounds. The SIDEBAR is the place on the right or the left (depending on your chosen layout) that houses the section of how many views you've had, how many questions you've answered, your location, your age, your screen name and so on. So that place is the SIDEBAR.
Sidebar background color: -- whatever color you want the background for the sidebar to be.
Sidebar background image (URL): -- or if you'd rather have an image, place the URL here.
Sidebar text: -- color of the text ONLY within the sidebar.
Sidebar links: color of the links ONLY within the sidebar.
And for the "PAGE" part.. it's the same as the "SIDEBAR", only for the rest of the page (which is where your info is, and where the questions and answers are, ya know?

Page background color would refer to your background, so if you put white in, that's your background. As for background image, if you don't want a color, but a picture, you right click the picture, click properties, and get the URL and copy it in, and then your background will be a picture. Page text will just be the color your text is in, and for links - it'll make the link color the color you chose. Sidebar background - Well, sidebar is your little thing that holds your age, & depending the layout, the info too. It also has your link you chose to use in there, and your sn & stuff. So it's the color you chose. You can also put an image for that, and you do the same thing for that as for your background. Sidebar text - same as page text, it's just the color you chose, and your text appears that way. For links, it's the same as if you make links in your profile and they appear a certain color.
