That does sound pretty much like a panic attack to me. You'll be glad to hear that they're pretty common so you're not a freak or anything lol. However it is important to figure out WHY you had this panic attack. For instance I get them if I try to walk through a crowd of people and I can't get through. Were you worried about anything? Or it could simply have been heat-triggered. Whatever it is, once you realise what the problem is it's easier to be able to overcome it to prevent them from happening again.

wow yah i get them and i am only 13. For one, i feel like i am getting clostrphobic (srry not good at spelling) and the room is closing in...everyone is talking too loud which makes it hard to cool down. i start sweating and having a hard time breathing... yes what you had was a panic attack or an anxiety attack,..there the same thing. If your on a lot of stress cool down.. trust me thats really the ONLY way...i also (if ur at home) lay down on the ground and turn on the ceiling fan and just sprawl out your legs...try not to cry i know its scary but it doesnt help at ALL! i hope i helped... rate me...also have a great valentines day sweetie!

Symptoms are rapid pounding heartbeat, chest pain, dizziness, difficulty breathing. A lot of people think they are having a heart attack.

Here is a website that will give you more information about it. :)

I haven't had a panic attack, but that sounds exactly like one. Yikes! Hope you don't have to suffer through another one.
