brother's room

Question Posted Saturday January 28 2006, 12:09 pm

My brother's room is a fire hazard. Literally. There are papers spralled across the place and CDs everywhere. I can never find anything on his dresser and I've lost all hope to find any of my computer CDs.

The thing is today I went in there looking for something. Of course, I couldn't find it. He called to ask where my dad was, and while on the phone I asked where the CD I was looking for was. He didn't even know. How can I tell my brother he needs to clean up his room without letting him know I occasionally make stops in there? Also is there any way I can get him to let me make my stops in his room to try and find stuff?

I'm a mess. I wouldn't clean my room if a sibling told me to. I hardly to it when my parents say to, and then it just goes back to crap.
There's no way to get him to do it period.

Why in God's name do you go through his dresser? ;)

Just go in his room while he's in there and say, "It's ok, I'm just looking for my ____." As if it's no big deal and it would be inappropriate to make a big deal out of it.
That method also shuts people up.

You could also find his weed and blackmail him.

if you know he has something in there of yours.. find where it is when hes not around. next time he is in his room.. go in there and ask something like what times dinner.. and then 'acedintly' bump into your missing item. tell him that its yours.. and you know he has your stuff in there. if he says he doesn't want you snooping in his room.. then tell him you will stop if he stops taking your stuff. when he has your stuff--its fair game for you to go and get it. hope this helps! <3*

How about leaveing him alone. If HE likes HIS room to be a mess, then YOU should stay in YOUR room and leave him alone

Hey!!! Well I think that you should go talk to him while hes in his room then tell him he should really clean it up(((maybe you can even get your parents in it too and tell them to tell him to clean it up))). Then after you do one of those offer to help him clean it up. Its gonna take some of your time but at least while you clean up, you can find alot of stuff. The best part is...he will never know! Haha Good Luck! Hope i helped.
