Look closely at your fish to check if there are bite marks in their fins or bodies. If there are none, you're tiger barb may just be a bully and chase the other fish around without actually hurting them (I had a dalmation molly that would do that). If it gets pretty bad, remove the aggressive fish. Hope your aquarium will soon be at peace.
kooka-burra answered Tuesday January 24 2006, 9:41 pm: your fish are not buds. fish don't usually chase each other around the tank, that is a sign of aggrestion.
your tiger barb might already be nipping. Or it could just want to have its own tank. some fish just don't get along.
You can get a seperator for your tank if things get worse. If your fish are new then it might just take some time for them to settle down.

However, even though tiger barbs are known to nip that doesn't mean that yours will...think of it like putting a cat and a dog together. Sometimes they get along great, but most of the time they don't. I would keep an eye on them. If they start nipping there isn't much you can do. If it gets bad you might have to give the tiger barb away or get a new tank. I hope everything works out for you and good luck! I hope I helped. :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
