ok im 13/f 8th grade. im one of the only girls who dosen't/has never had a boyfriend. in 7th grade and down i used to be sortof a tomboy. i still am kindof, but i dont dress like i used to. im starting to dress...like regular girls. i was just wondering what it is about me that guys dont like? i like video games and fighting stuff, and stuff that guys like. a few girls think if i dressed a little different i would be really pretty and stuff. is there anything i should change/traits i should have? i wont completly change my personality, but any tips? and guys, what do yo ulike in a girl?

well.. yeah, i deffinatley say NEVER change yourself for a guy!
you could change your hair style & stuff, like wear it different then you normally do.
be YOURSELF. guys won't like stuck up fakes.
iff you want you could deffinatly flirt a little.
-- & just because someone doesn't have a boyfriend yet doesnt make them a loserr! it's okayy. everyones different, i have friends who don't have boyfriendss. :) they're even cooler then my boy obsessed friends sometimes.
everyone has their benefits, being a video-game player is a cool quality, at least you can do something guys would like to hang with and do with you! =D

Yea. you shouldnt change yourself for anyone. your who you want to be. maybe a couple things:
Change your hair style: like if you wear it up all the time try down or if you wear it down wear it up.
little make-up but it shouldnt matter if you wear make-up.
When you see a guy walking thru the hallway that you know. stop and talk to him flirt a little bit. Even if you don't like him it'll get around to the other guys and they will think its cool and start talking to you alot more.

Okay, if you really want to change yourself to be more girly, a good idea would be to shop at stores like Hollister, A&F, Abercrombie, AE, Delias, ect.. If you don't want to completely change your appearence, you could get your hair shaped or start wearing a little bit of makeup, like maybe eyeliner and lipgloss and mascara, but not a whole lot. Guys do like girls who do things that guys do, it's more attractive cause you can have more fun together doing things you both want to do. Just because you want to change your appearence, don't change your interests or personality, no use in trying to be something you're not. If a guy likes you for who you are, you know he's the guy for you.

I like girls who are fun to be around, ones that you can hold an intersting conversation with. NOt those snotty ones. Nor ones that think they are popular.If you want to know what i look for physically, i answered that question somewhere in my advice column. look for it.
But basically i like girls (that I think) are cool to hang around with. Not the popular ones who tend to be a bore

I like girls who are themselves. Girls who could care less what others think of them. Girls who aren't vain or stuck up. I think its good that you play video games and stuff. That shows you are cool to hang out with. Sometimes my girlfriend gets mad because I spend more time playing video games then hanging with her. But with you on the other hand you could play video games with your guy. Continue to be yourself.

You definitely don't need to change yourself for a guy. that'll fuck you up mentally and the relationship won't be real. it'll be a total and complete scam! you also don't need to rush into getting a boyfriend. the right boy will coem and i'm sure some of them wanna holla but just haven't said anything yet. honestly though, you're bound to have alot of guy friends because you like the same things they do. i'mneutral though so what do i know. I have about the same amount of guy friends as i do girl friends. i've got alot of friends!

Different guys like different types of girls. What you want is a guy who likes you. DON'T change yourself to get guys.
Trust me. It doesn't work. You won't be happy with someone who likes something you're really not, or even something you almost are, but aren't.
You sound a lot like me - I was a tomboy from about 8th grade down, except for 7th grade when I tried to dress like the popular girls and hated myself for it. You don't need to be anything but who you are. You can try dressing a little differently if you want - that's not changing your personality, just your look - for a change. But do it for YOU. Dress differently because YOU like it, not because you think guys would like it.
You can't determine what all guys like just from a few opinions. Trust me here. Be who you are and let a guy find you who likes you for you.
As far as "what guys don't like," it could be that the guys you know have known you forever - they probably think of you as "one of the guys". That happened to me, and it sucked, until I lost weight, learned how to apply makeup, and they realized "whoa, she's a GIRL!"
So yeah. It's all up to you.

Okay theres nothing wrong with not having a boyfriend in 8th grade.. I have plenty friends who havent had boyfriends yet. But i guess if you REALLY want one. You could try and shop at places that have the in style now..Some guys dont like to date girls that are exactly like them with (sprots,video games,fighting etc etc) So try getting into other things that may catch your interest. You shouldnt change over a guy. You will get a guy with just who you are.
