Oscar Fish What's the rule of thumb for keeping oscars in a tank? Like.. how many gallons per oscar should you have for your aquarium.
Secondly, do they go well with red parrot cichlids?

You'll need 100 gallons per oscar if you want them to grow big and fat. HA. As for the cichlids, it may not be a good idea because oscars are agressive. ]

ok well im not sure how many gallons but my dad had two and they got pritty big and they were in a huge tank.
also about the other fish you might not want to. im not sure how much smaller they are compared to the oscars but oscars get big and they are very agressive fish and eat other fish. so if you want more types of fish i suggest you get more agressive fish that are larger but wont eat the oscars. good luck! sorry i didnt really help just wanted to put in my input. ]
Rule is every inch of fish is a gallon. So if u have 4 fish at 4" then u need a 16 gallon tank. And they should go fine with any other medium agressive fish. ]
