Hey,
My Hand is always swollen at night. Like I will wake up in the middle of the night and its numb and heavy. I never hurt it or anything. So Whats up with that?
MissAdvice answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 11:48 am: Hi
well at night sometimes when you don't move your hand, or lay on it, the blood can't circulate, it feels all numb. Its also called when your hand is asleep. I think that when you get this feeling, switch your hand postiton or just rub it to get the blodd circulating.
fabulous11 answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 11:40 am: I think your hand is just asleep they call it. Its from like cutting off the ciculation of blood or something and like if you sleep with your hand under your pillow or anything like that it will happen.
FunnyCide answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 11:37 am: Actually, I'm thinking that your hand is "asleep" at night, not swollen. If you lay with your arm beneth your body or elbow bent under you, you're cutting off the circulation of blood to your lower arm/hand. This will cause your hand to feel numb and heavy and as if you can't control it well. That's the only reason I could think of. If you can VISIBLY see that it's swollen, go to a doctor. If it just feels swollen, try sleeping with your arm beside you and straight out.
