Question Posted Tuesday December 27 2005, 10:26 am
13- Female.
I want to start eating better to make sure I stay fit. I'm current like 109 lbs and I would like to lose a few pounds and trim off a few inches off my arms, thighs, and stomach. I need to know how many calories and carbs should I eat? How do I count Carbs and calories? I'm very confused to this whole process. If you guys could help or give me websites that could help I would be greatly appreciative.

(I won't claim to understand carbs as it is.) Eat sensibly, exercise moderately, and your body will respond.
orphans answered Tuesday December 27 2005, 11:47 am: you should eat about 1500-2000 cals a day for your age. the way you can keep track is mypyramidtracker.gov it shows how much your eating, and makes like charts and stuff. its great =)

You don't need to count calories or cut out carbs, you just need to eat more sensibly.
Try replacing chocolate or other snacks with healthier cereal bars or fruit and have a small salad instead of crisps. Also, try excercising regularly.
You may hear this all the time and roll your eyes but you'll be surprised on how quickly you lose weight.
You said that you wanted to lose weight on places such as your arms, I suggest you visit [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) because you will be able to find specialised excercises for the areas you want to lose weight in.
If you're still set in a carb free, calorie controlled diet then:
