am i messed up how do i get rid of negative and suicidal thoughts?? im always righting depressing poems and wanting to die.. what can i do to stop myself?

You've been keeping your feelings to yourself. Creative expression such as writing poetry can provide an outlet for such feelings, but in your case it isn't doing the trick.
You need to express your feelings.
Try publishing your poetry online. Join a poetry-writing online group or create a website.
Better yet, go to Open Mike Night and READ YOUR POETRY OUT LOUD!!!

I know how you feel. I used to feel the same way. Maybe you are feeling a lot of stress? You should try some relaxing techniques like yoga, or taking a warm bubble bath , or listening to music that gets you upbeat and makes you feel good (like fast music that makes you want to jump up and down).
You should also get involved in a sport. Really, sports take out a lot of tension and anger and sadness. The best sports for this are swimming because it relaxes the muscles. If you can't swim maybe you should try going to the gym. It will make you feel good listening to music there and at the same time taking out stress by working out and maybe you'll make some new friends. If there's no gym nearby, then you can always go walking for like a half-hour to an hour each day, the more the better. But, be sure to walk fast so you don't get caught up in your thoughts. Take a walkman with you and listen to fast music as I said before.
It's extremely important that you go see a doctor, like a psychiatrist. He will give you medecine to get rid of your depression and make you feel better. It's also very important to KEEP YOURSELF BUSY AT ALL COSTS .Go out as often as possible with friends and family. You don't have to wait for them to ask you to go out. Why don't you say "Hey, why don't we go out ?" On the days that you don't go out, you have to talk with your friends. If you don't have friends, talk about anything with at least one member of your family.
So to summarize, do relaxing techniques, get involved in a sport, go to a doctor , keeep yourself busy, and socialize. You HAVE TO start doing what I told you right away, like today !!!!!!!! there is no sure responce to your question, only you know how you feel, what makes you upset and what makes you happy. Depression doesn't have to make sense in fact it usually doesnt. But whAT I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT THE USUAL 3 MAIN REASONS FOR THESE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ARE: death, divorse(split-ups), and constant moving. there are other triggers but ask yourself if you have or are still are experiencing one of these factors...then that is when you can begin to find solutions. You need to get to know yourself , spend some time alone, discover who you really are, and learn to love yourself. you might think you know yourself well enough but you obviously dont so make that your main goal and i promise that is the first and most important stepping stone. ]
That is a serious problem, you need to talk to somebody before it gets out of hand. You want to get this figured out before you actually try to do anything. Talk to your parents about getting a therapist, or even the school counselor or friends.

Put yourself into other peoples positions:
ie: Poor people, sick people, dying people, people whove witnessed one of their loved ones being killed, horrible shit, etc.
Its what i do. Im thankful for everything i have everyday, poeple are out there starving and freezing. Children die everyday for simple things that could be prevented like starvation and measles.
Or: happy pills.
Maybe you need to see a psychiatrist.
Tell your mom how you feel, or if not possible, a trusted parent/adult or school counsiler. Theyre alwyas here for you.

focus on the good things in your life. you gotta realize millions of ppl around the world would break a leg for your life, literally. as depressing your life may seem, theres got to be something in your life that can keep you going. talk to your family, your close friends and let them know you're feeling down, spending time with positive and loving ppl can realy make a BIG difference. ]
