AIM Warning

Question Posted Tuesday December 20 2005, 11:03 pm

Hi advicenators :D

well, i am an icon maker on iconator (and if you've ever been there you know that there are millions of idiots who have nothing better to do then i/m you), so sosmeone imed me long enough for me to say "who is this", and then warned me. I was justs wondering, do warnings go away? How long does it take to go away? And also, i tried to warn HER, but it wouldnt let me; why is this?

Warning are soo gay man. They get lower everytime you sign on and off and it keeps going down untill all the percent is down to 0. A warning doesn't do anyything to you. It doesn't let you wan her probably because of her aim settings? Not sure. Just block her.

that`s really stupid. i hate when people are like that. people like get a kick out of doing stupid crap like that. depending what percent she warned you, will determine how long it will take it to go away. you can`t warn her, because of her AIM settings. i have it to where no one can warn me. but they can block me. when they warn you enough, it blocks you from their sn. UH OHH! why can`t they just skip all that. && just press block?? people just dont think or tend to care much these days. =/

Warnings are generally pointless. The only person it effects is whoever it was that warned you. If this person warns you a certain number of times, it blocks you from his/her buddy list. That's it. The 'percent' next to your name will go away within a day or two but it does absolutely nothing, anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Warnings go away usually by the next day (depending on the percentage you've been warned.) Everytime your warnings increase, it decreases your ability to send/receive IMs.

- You cannot send a warning to someone if you were the person who started the conversation, IM or chat.

- You can issue only one warning for each message someone sends you.

- If a user warns you, consider ending the conversation. Every additional message you send enables that user to warn you again.
