Question Posted Tuesday December 20 2005, 11:01 pm

HEY! whats goin on!? well i have this tanning lamp thing..and its kinda like going tanning except you have to like do each section of your body seperately. i mostly only do my face. but usually when i go tanning in a bed my face looks like a nice smooth tan. but when i use this tanning lamp (because im outta tans) my face looks really blotchy and kind of reddish. and it like dont go away..or fade into a tan. i even put bronzer like on to try and make it look smoother. but is there anyway i could make it look smooth and just like a nice tan without buying anything..since my mom wont let me?

well hmm i am not really sure but maybe you arent evenly tanning it on each side of your face? or just put a tinted moisturizer to make it look more even

haha im not realy sure sorry!! but if you can spare maybe 15-20 dollars no more than 20 there is this stuff called Salon Bronze at walgreens and its amazing! i use it and it doesnt make you look fake or too dark or anything it looks liek its in the shape of a gun and comes with 2 containers.. so i would try and get it if you can!

Hey hun
I actually don't know much about tanning lamps but I do know that you should stop using it on your face since it's coming out the way it is.

You can try putting bronzer on your face without the tanning lamp maybe it will make your face look tan.

Sorry I couldn't help much

Hey

Ummm well let's see. What's the actually problem going tanning without your face turning reddish, or how to get rid of the redness. Well i'm sure the redness will go away soon. Try putting some cream on it. Maybe some sunburn cooling gel or itch cream. Both will make your face appear less red. But the only real way you can make your face appear smoother is to first let it heal, and the only way to do that is leave it alone for now. Once it heals just start going back to the tanning bed because honestly that's the best way of getting a tan. Not only does it look good, it's very smooth looking on your face.
You said you can't buy anything because your mother won't let you, but then honestly there is nothing you can really do. Try putting on dark cover up. It will make you appear darker. If you can go out and buy something i would suggest getting Neutrogena Instant Bronze, Deep self tanner.

Hey lovely. =] Ahhh, nothing much! Thanks.

Woah, I've never heard of a tanning lamp thing where you like do different sections of your body @ a time. That's really neat. =] Hehe. Honestly, I have NO idea what you could possibly do, seen as I've never really had that problem before, nor do I know anyone who has your problem. Maybe just try to explain to your mother that it's making you really self conscious that your face is red and blotchy. & If you do that then maybe you could buy stuff called, California Tan "Just faces" you can get it at Wal-mart I'm pretty sure and I highly recommend it. Or maybe just ask for it for Xmas? =] It's just that your face is VERY sensitive to the light, and maybe just use a moisturizer after you do the light on your face. See if that works, and if not I really think you should tell your mom how it's making you feel!
