But when I did it, it ended up passwording every folder on the computer. lol. I can't remember how I did it though, that was about a year ago. However, I can tell you how to protect a Word document. I'm going to give you step by step since I don't know how computer proficient you are.
Open the document that you want to password protect in Word.
Click "Tools" in the top menu bar. Then click "Options..." at the very bottom. Open the "Security" tab by clickin on it.
Enter your password in the "Password to open" text box.
