So i like this guy. He's like my friend and what not. but there's this dance coming up soon. and i really want to ask him to it. i'm just afraid of the "rejection." and if he says yes, i'm really bad at carrying a conversation. what shoulud i do?

you should deffinetely ask him to it, because even if he says no then you'll still be proud that you asked him . i highly doubt he'll say no because thats just rude and anyway we only live once so party while you can ! if he does say no, then w/e he probably has something else on his mind . if he does say yes then afterward you could either say "sounds great . see you later!" or something like that or you could just talk about anything else and just say whats up because that always get a conversation going .

If ur already freinds w/him, ask him to the dance claiming "just as friends"--this way there isnt so much pressure on either of you..and if you get all nervous about the convo upholdage--take a deep breath..repeat if nessisary..and make fun of the other people around you..This can go on for hours, cus you know some people look pretty weird all dressed up..

it'd be a good idea to go with him. There's a lot of things you can talk about. it actually helps to seem interested in him by talking about his interests.

I have the same problem, what you could do is be like "(blow lol) I haven't got anyone to go to the dance with....." Lethim answer and say "Who areyou going with?" If he says no then say something like "Hey since were dateless then we could go!"
