Like when someone does a classic joke like putting salt on butter and telling the person that the salt makes the butter warm, then they say to put their hand over it then slam their hand into the butter, that's a classic. When someone says that something is overrated, it just means that it isn't all that great. If I were to say that Paris Hilton is overrated, it means that everyone seems to like her, but I think that she's not all that. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]

Overrated is like...say there's a band. And you've heard this band on the radio, and they were okay. It was kind of catchy, not really something you'd want to hear over and over again. But then you go to the store and there are all these posters for this band and 5 out of every 6 people say it's their favorite band and they play this band on the radio CONSTANTLY. They'll play one song by this band, a song by somebody else, and another song by this band. And you're totally sick of them, but they're EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE loves them and it makes you want to hit yourself with a brick. That's overrated.
How it would work for phones...well they're supposedly such a great invention, right? But like...why do we need them? We can just walk to our friend's house. Oh, wait, this is America. We just grab an extra extra large taco and log on (hahaa). [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
Classic means really old-school. The "oldest trick in the book." Like a pie in the face is just about the oldest novelty, or a child being told off for dipping his sister's pigtails in ink. A classic, get it???
DancinCutie08 answered Friday December 9 2005, 9:11 pm: a classic is something that is popluar forever sorta idk how to explain it and overrated is like everyone has them so they are nothing anymore basically
xxoBriannax answered Friday December 9 2005, 8:45 pm: Classic means old but popular.
Overrated means that people said it was WAY better than it actually is.
in example- Everyone was talking about a certain movie. When you saw that movie, you didn't think it was as good as people said - therefore it was overrated [ xxoBriannax's advice column | Ask xxoBriannax A Question ]
