Really there isnt anything you can do to by-pass it. You cant do much. Hope I helped!!

My school has the same.
We did find a way to get onto meebo (a web based messenger) by typing in the following in the address bar:
216.129.112.72
we could also use this: www.pr0xy.info to get onto any site.. but unfortunately, people abused this and the teachers found out.
So if nothing like the above works, then there isn't really anything you can do about it :(!
