My mom wont let me have a boy friend and im 15 years old. I cant have him over becasue I live in an apartment and theirs only one room that everyone stays in. How can i convince her that im old enough.
XoHeLpIsHeReXo answered Friday December 2 2005, 7:30 pm: Tell her that you are responsible and that you can handle a boyfriend. Maybe she just doesn't understand how you feel about it. Talk to her and let her that your not going to do anything stupid. And if she doesn't give in, who said she has to know.

GDROB2 answered Friday December 2 2005, 7:14 pm: It is not about age and never has been in these situations. It is about maturity. Can you be trusted not to turn wild? Can you handle disapointment, heartache and responsibility? You may think so but a relationship involves a lot of adult decisions and if your mother thinks you cannot hack it she ought to know.
There is nothing you can do to make her change her mind. You might want to introduce the boy in question but her choice is her choice. You may get further here obeying the rules and demonstrating maturity than pleading for what you want. She may also not like him very much you just do not know.
It is maturity not age that should determine whether one can have a boyfriend. Ask her reasons for saying no. You may be surprised but you need honest answers. [ GDROB2's advice column | Ask GDROB2 A Question ]
naimee answered Friday December 2 2005, 6:38 pm: Let them meet, she'll probably think totally different after seeing him. You could just let him stay in the living room or something. I'm not allowed to sleep in the same bed as my boyfriend, so in a way our mom's are the same. But seriously, invite him over just to hang out & let them meet a few times.
