I think my sister's bipolar.. How can I find out and suggest help for my sister without her getting upset? My parents also might think she's bipolar but we're afraid to talk to her about the idea because she'll flip out on us. She's been getting worse as the years go by. Any help would be great. I rate

One of my friends and my sisster is bi-polar also .Bi-polar and if you think your sister could possibly be bi-polar then i would ask her doctor about it and the doctor will will request her to go to a conselour there the counselor will ask questions and like her moods how she acts at certain times. if he/she thinks that she is bi-polar they will give her medicine for it.
It can be controlled if she takes the medicine. It can be with her whole life and theres a possibilty that it doesnt have to be.
People that are bi-polar change moods very quickly such as one minute you can be extremely happy, excited and the next minute you pissed off and bit*hy to everyone..
so just tell your parents to check with her doctor and pretty much go on from there
i hope i helped* ]
The best thing to do is have your sister checked out by a doctor. By speaking with your family and your sister, the doctor can determine if she is bipolar and the best treatment for her. Treatment varies by person and may include counseling or medication. I'm including some links to information for you.

I would suggest that you and /or your parents try to get her to get checked out properly as soon as you can because it's always easier to treat illnesses like this if they are diagnosed earlier. If you want some information and advice/help try these two sites:

Well if its getting worse as the years go by then you and your parents better do something before its too later. I have a bi polar friend who is on medicine and it does help if they take it. I would suggest going to a doctor and asking his opinion or searching online websites about how to approach this situation from a professionls point of view......good luck ]
