Can you be friends without talking? OK, here it goes. I just started high school and by a few days in, I had made a few new friends. One friend added me to a huge conversation over msn and I met this guy. I added him to my msn and now we talk pretty often... Only over msn though. I rarely see him at school, he has a totally different group of friends and is only in one of my classes. Even though I don't talk to him in person much, I feel like he's a friend. I don't know how I should act now, because there are some things you can say to friends but not to other people. Should I treat him like a friend?

Well technically he is your friend if you guys talk alot over msn..i concider all the people i talk to over msn my friends specially the ones that live on the other side of the world from me. so ya concider him a friend or ask him his opinion. if you ask his opinion you will find out if he conciders you a friend and u will also get your answer. Good luck ]
Yes, of course you should treat him like a friend. Maybe he's the type of person where it's easier for him to open up to other people and have a really good conversation online :) As long as he's nice to you & you like him as a friend, then it's totally fine. But maybe you should ask him to hang out during school or just go up to him and randomly say hey. If he avoids you at school when you try to approach him, then I'd start to wonder wheather or not he's your friend. :) ]
