deodorants/antiprespirant

Question Posted Thursday November 24 2005, 11:43 am

I have a sort-of sweating problem. I've tried secret, ban, and I think a few other deodorants...but none seem to work. Do you know what kind of deodorants might help me? thanks.

My friend is just like you. She used to sweat a lot even when she was just sitting down. She used about every deodarant/anti-perspirate. She got Certain-Dry you could find it in a local drug store. If that might not work see a doctor && have him perscibe you one.

good luck
♥britt

im really athletic, so i have to use a strong deodorant.. i use soft&dri powerstripe +DRITec.. it works really well
another thing.. when you wear clothes try to avoid light and thin clothes..
wear darker colors more often (navy blue, blue, black, purple, dark red , grey, etc.)
and thicker clothes will help. keep a sweatshirt with you.
i hope it helps. please rate

This is a big problem for me also, so I know how you feel; I've been there, and it's not good. I reccommend using an antiperspirant deodorant [such as Suave], followed by regular baby powder. The antiperspirant helps to reduce sweating, or at least is said to, but in our case... never does. Then the baby powder will close the pores of your under arm -- more or less trapping the sweat in, so to speak. Honestly, this almost ALWAYS works for me, but there *ARE* days when it's simply not good enough, and that can be a pain in the butt, so I usually make a point of carrying some sort of jacket. Hearing that, there's this product people are always talking about on this site [but I believe that's from "Monkey See, Monkey Do"], but it's even advertised on television. It's called CertainDri. Now, they say it can be purchased at Wal-greens, RiteAid, CVS, and Walmart, however, EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been to the store looking for it, I've never seen it on the shelves. Naturally, this leads me to ask an employee where I can find it, and they *always* tell me they've NEVER heard of it, and they do not carry the product... which just leaves you speechless and with a feeling of, 'what now?' If the problem persists, perhaps you should consult a physician, who can supply you with proper medication. Also, he can give you shots that kind of close up your pores, so sweating never really happens again. I'm not shore if that's an option for you, but I recommend asking him for more information. But whatever you decide to do, goodluck from someone who knows EXACTLY what you're going through!!

Dear Deoderent,
I am sorry to say that you might have a bit of a medical problem. You might want to try going to visit a docter that will get this sweating problem underway and taken care of. One deoderent that rocks my world, is the NEW secret gel deoderent in berry, goes on smooth leaving no white residue in responce, and also takes care of the problem.

Love always,

Well, first of all, make sure that you're using an antiperspirant as well as a deodorant. The deodorant masks the smell and the antiperspirant stops the sweating. If you aren't having any kind of luck with store bought products, maybe you should try seeing a doctor about it. They can presribe something for you that will help stop the sweating, and the prescription will be stronger than what's available at the store.

If you are a girl and you tried the girl deodorants and they haven't worked for you, then I think you should try the DEODORANT FOR MEN. And no I am not joking. Their deodorants are very strong!! I'm not going to lie, their deodorant is strong, smells good, and lasts long. If you are NOT a girl ummm. I don't know.. I use the secret platinum or w/e its called.

Certain Dri works like magic. You can only put it on at night though. It costs anywhere around 6 - 7 dollars. But, for the day time you should definitely try, "Arrid Extra Extra Dry." & You can get it for like 3 dollars. It's seriously the best!

Certain Dri would help your sweating problem. It's one of the strongest, over-the-counter anti-perspirants and you can purchase it for under $10 at your local pharmacy. I've tried it and it does work. You can then apply a powder deoderant, such as Dove, since Certain Dri is not scented.
