Sick.

Question Posted Tuesday November 22 2005, 5:05 pm

I've been sick with the Flu and an ear infection for the past 5 days. I'm feeling much better today and I hope to be back on my normal schedual by tomorow. I love to work out, It makes me feel good and energized. However, when I was sick I didn't work out. I want to go back to my normal workout routine but I was wondering how long I should wait? Since I've been so sick should I wait like another week, a few days ? I'd love some help :)

Start working out again as soon as you feel ready, but take it easy and stop when you've had enough, even if it's less than what you normally do.

Don't expect to be able to go back to your normal routine straight away, but if you don't work out at all it will be hard to suddenly start working out at your normal level again, especially if you normally work out a lot.

I think you should start when you feel normal. If you don't feel good during the workout, wait a little bit longer. Keep that up until you feel better than ever! Hope you feel better!

Hi, Well I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and I am sorry that you were so sick. I totaly agree working out makes me feel good to and energized. It depends on how much you feel like you can do and if you have enought energy to do alot. If you feel like starting back in about a day or two I wouldent do alot I would start off slow and work your way back and it shouldent take you to long becuse its not like you havent worked out for a month or something. I just think that your body might take it as a shock if you do alot right at first so take it slow for a couple days and then progress your work out when you feel good about it.
Hope I helped
