i just got a new laptop and im giving my old pc to my computer. I want to delete EVERYTHING off of it so it is like a new computer. I've done this before with this "Restore CD" for my e-Machine computer except this time its not working. So now everytime i turn it on it just says "A disk read error occured Press cntrl+alt+delete to restart. I did that on it already and the saME thing keeps coming up. Theres so cd's in the drives so i dont know why its doing this! So can someone tell me what to do about the message and then tell me how to delete everything on my computer? Thanks sooo much she wants within a couple of days so anyhelp is apprectiated greatly!! Dont worry il rate you thank you!

Maybe give some free advice about: Computers? brokenagain answered Monday November 21 2005, 8:49 pm: ok as for deleting you can go to your control panel to delete what you want that is the easy wasy--but if you want a totally empty pc you will have to rebuild the hard drive--this consists of taking the pc apart--and adding the software she wants. as for the usually control alt delete is to end a program that is running and you have to click on the program to delete--i have windows depends on what software you are using good luck wish i could of helped more my friend is a pro in fixing this stuff but unfortuelty i never paid much attention :) [ brokenagain's advice column | Ask brokenagain A Question ]

Go to Control Panel
Go to add remove programs
Go to remove programs
Click on what you want to delete. It might ask you for the CD.
DeadMemories answered Monday November 21 2005, 7:30 pm: My Computer did the SAME thing. It turns out it was a virus and I had to get rid of my computer cause It fried it... If you want to take a second choice call the computer company and ask them if they will send you another disk. Sorry bout that.
