Splitzy answered Tuesday November 22 2005, 3:46 pm: Yeah, I also made ice cream with two plastic bags. I did this recipe in 6th grade (over 5 years ago...), and it turned out great! (and believe me, if a 6th grader could do it, anyone can).
So... plastic bags=easy, cheap, and they should be around your house!
PerkyPeacock answered Tuesday November 22 2005, 2:02 am: we did it in physics... but we used plastic bags. put the cream, and everything inside a small plastic bag, then seal that reeeaaally well, and put it inside a bag filled with the ice and salt... then shake.

I think they can might hold the cold in better and help it to freeze though.
You could try using popcorn tins or something like that (if you have some smaller ones).
I'd say try plastic bowls but I am just not sure if it would work. You could try it though.
