A guy that I'm friends and I know had feelings for me (but is shy) has been acting really strange around me.
For example, when he is alone with me he is sweet, attentive, kind, and likes to tease me. However, he acts totally different around his guy friends. We (me and another friend) planned a suprise birtday party for him. When he showed up at the restaurant he told me to sit a couple of tables down from him and his best friend. They got him some gross gifts from the porn shop and I think he was embarrased. Whenever I tried talking to him he couldnt look me in the eye, and when he did talk to me he wouldnt look me in the face. Do you think he was embarrassed of his friends and he was trying to protect me from being hurt? Or is there another reason for his behavior?

Remember, girls are always more mature than guys so if you're young then chances are slim for him to come out and say something like he wants to be with you. Embarrassment could be a possibility too.
