phone being slow

Question Posted Sunday October 23 2005, 2:08 pm

My mobile phone is being really stupid, taking days to recieve messages and if I send a message it'll be at least an hour before the relevant person gets it. It is about 4 years old now so I'm assuming it's just that it's old, but could there be any other reason why it's doing thing? Everything else is working fine on it atm.

Cell phones become obsolete within a couple months, so a four year old cell phone is probably an antique. This is probably the cause, unless you also happen to have a shitty service as well. Just get a new cell phone. It doesn't have to be top of the like with a camera, video camera, internet, mp3 player, coffee maker, light saber, and clock. Just an average flip phone is pretty cheap, and are usually given out free with activation.

Hi,

The phone you have is outdated and likely no longer supported by the service provider. It does not make any sense that what was working right one day suddenly stops the next. Then again things can break or stop functioning if old. They build these things to last a year in hopes of making you buy a new one.

Having said this, I would phone up their technical support people and explain what is going on all of a sudden. They may be able to do some kind of tests on the unit and get it operating better. Maybe not. You do not have to pay for crappy service unless it is your phone that is dying a slow death here.

I recommend buying a pay as you go plan and phone that comes with it. It will save you money and the phone will be top noch. Hopefully you can do that or ask a parent about getting a reliable one because this one is not.

Also, be practical how much money do you want to spend on bills? The services you have like voice-mail, text-messages etc. are premiums. All you need is a phone that rings. You have one that does that as well as recieve calls. If people miss you than that's fine. You will always find them later. I am just saying keep your phone, get rid of the extras and save money is what I myself would do. That drives costs down considerably.

Your phone may no longer be that compatible with all of the new technology that is out there. They don't make it to last nowadays. Your phone has had a long run. Pat it on the battery pack and let it retire. There are plenty of other phone options out there. Many of them come with a new, FREE phone. So just look around and see what you like. You have had very good phone luck!

i dont know personally but you could go to where you bought it, or better yet call the company and ask why. Maybe they can fix it or upgrade you to something better! =]
