Hot Dogs and Hamburgers are made out of much of the same thing. They are the remnants after the real beef is made. So, yes, they may use the cheeks of the cow. You never know what it is made of, but if it is beef, it comes from a cow. Where is anyone's guess.

They are made of beef from cow.
I've heard gross things about them too but don't believe everything you hear because it's not true.
I like McDonald's burgers anyway.

Their meat is made of beef. There is nothing wrong with it except its overly greasy.

"Beef

McDonald’s commitment to quality can be clearly seen in our dedication to bringing you USDA-inspected 100% beef to ensure your favorite McDonald’s premium burgers are of high quality and taste great.

McDonald’s is the largest single purchaser of American beef, buying nearly one billion pounds per year. As one of the nation’s leading purchasers of agricultural products, including beef, McDonald's believes in and has consistently advocated and enforced the strongest possible food safety standards and regulations.

In fact, McDonald’s maintains a select list of only the top beef suppliers in the country and continually conducts independent third-party audits to ensure safety and quality.

With these industry-leading standards in place, McDonald’s is able to deliver –and you are able to enjoy – high quality beef in your favorite fresh-to-order McDonald’s sandwiches."

It's hamburger, just like the preformed hamburger patties you would get in the meat case at the grocery store. McDonald's hamburgers are 100% beef, and the beef is purchased from the top suppliers in America. McDonald's even employs a third-party inspection team to check out the quality of the beef. If you chcek out their nutritional information, you will find this: "Beef Patty: 100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders."

Also, do you mean cheeks like on your face or your butt? Face cheeks are just fat...like any other fatty part of the cow. And as far as butt goes...you've actually probably eaten far more cow butt than you realize, seeing as it is a legitimate cut of meat. Look at the labels on the meat packadges next time you go to the store. You are bound to find a Boston Butt in there, among other things.

I hope that cleared things up!
