(It hasn't even been a year since you've gotten it) Your period will probably be irregular for a few years. But if you really want to know if there is something wrong, even though there probably isn't, I would talk to your mom and visit your doctor =) [ yourperfectdisaster's advice column | Ask yourperfectdisaster A Question ]
Vendetta answered Wednesday October 19 2005, 5:40 pm: No, they usually aren't but for some people irregular periods such as this last for years. Even if you didn't just start, it may start to be a little different and unpredictable for a while. [ Vendetta's advice column | Ask Vendetta A Question ]
powertrash answered Wednesday October 19 2005, 5:33 pm: They can be. I know mine sometimes mine will only last a day or two and the next month be really heavy. It's probably not a big deal.
HOWEVER, talk to your mom and ask her about her cycle. Are her periods that short? Because if that's never happened to your mom, ever, then you might want to go to the doctor and check it out. Nothing is probably wrong--periods can really be that short occasionally--but it's good to err on the side of caution.
