FRIEND... HELP!

Question Posted Sunday October 16 2005, 8:23 pm

Ok sorry if this is long.
I went to friends birthday party on Sunday. Everybody thought it was gonna be soo much fun... but it wasnt. Instead, birthday girl hurt her leg to where you can see her bone!! She had to get stitches, and wasnt even allowed to walk!! :( Everybody invited got bored reallll fast, so we went outside and did things without birthday girl. :( She really is like my friend... and she had a lousy birthday. I didnt mean to leave her but it got SO BORING. My question is im trying to do something reallyyyyyyyyyy nice for my friend ((birthday girl)), because NOBODY should be treated like dirt and get stitches right before their birthday party started!! So what should i do to make her feel better? Any suggestion?
-NO RUDE COMMENTS OR SMARTASSES
Thanx i really appreciate it!

Suprise her by going out to dinner or breakfast. Have everyone that is going meet at the restaurant-make sure somebody gets a table- Then you and someone else *or 2 other people* kidnap your friend *Put a blind fold on her* and keep the blind fold on until she's infront of the table! My friends and I do that EVERY year and It's a lot of fun! If you guys drive then do it at night so you can go out afterwards.

Well she is probably feeling really left out and kinda like nobody likes her or cares that she is hurt...just hang out with her...and maybe do sumthin really nice for her...or just do sumthin that would make her smile ...friends can always make their friends smile and i am guessing that is whats she wants most right now is a friend, that can make her forget about the pain:) Good luck , hope i have helped:)...

ok well assuming she is gonna be at home for a while. why dont you, come over one day, while shes not aware of it (if possible) and kind of decorate a room, with balloons, party streamers, etc. bring a couple of other close friends, and a birthday cake (or some other special treat) and surprise her. then if you can bring a couple of her favorite movies and have a movie marathon, or some board games or something shed enjoy but would be able to do (sitting/laying down most likely). but check with her parents before hand, and you might have to wait a while, because she could be too exhausted to do anything for a while after getting stiches and what not. hopefully you will find something enjoyable for her, but dont stress too much. if shes a really good friend she will understand that its the thought that counts. i hope she gets well soon. happy planning.

First off, apologize to her for leaving her. She'll probably appreciate that.

Give her some flowers and a 'get well' card. That's the best thing for someone who's ill (or injured, in this case).

And since she can't walk, maybe you could get her some candy or her favorite snack. That's always nice. :)

A video or DVD always helps. So do board/video games. Basically, anything she can do without walking but still keep her entertained is a good choice.

Try hanging out with her, too. She'll appreciate your company.

I hope I helped, and if you have any more questions, feel free to leave one in my inbox!
