Toothpaste and Spots

Question Posted Thursday October 13 2005, 12:46 pm

Is it true that putting a dab of toothpaste on spots overnight will bring down the redness and flatten out the bump?
Thank you!
(Sorry but I rate honestly!)

I've tried this, and it has never ever helped me. Therefore, it is my opinion that the whole tooth paste theory was thought up to make someone look foolish ;D

Applying toothpaste won't actually flatten a zit but it reduces some of the redness, though. If you apply too much, that particular area may become dry and irritated.

I dont think that is a good idea because it dries out your skin. Some people are probably going to tell you it works but personally, I don't think it does. If you want to bring down the bumps and redness then go by acne cream, maybe your docter can give it to you over the counter but it's up to you.
