Physical

Question Posted Wednesday October 12 2005, 8:38 pm

I'm going to get a physical done next week. I got the last physical done about 2 years ago, and I remember they looked down my pants to see if I was healthy "down there." My question is, am I supossed to shave my pubic hair or not? I don't wanna look like an idiot when they look "down there."

Thnks bunches..

No, there is no rule that says in order to get a physical you need to shave your pubic hair! A physical is just that! They won't be focusing on anything else but your health internally! Plus you should never feel like an idiot, i mean....everyone has here down there! So in any case, if you still feel uncomfortable, ask your doctor if there is anything that you can wrap around your front part so your uncomfortable feelings can be avoided, so no one has to see anything! If not, wrap a sweater around your waist! If you have a male doctor, maybe getting checked out by a female doctor instead will also help with your comfort level! Good luck!

thats your personal decision.. the doctor will not judge you.. he or she`s probably seen a billion vagina so they arent even going to mind the hair.. if you need tips for shaving leave a question in my inbox.. ♥ Dez

you can do whatever

you can shave it if you want, but you dont have too

a lot of girls do because they dont like hair there but then hirls dont because they dont want to bother

personally, i just "trim" it haha, its not long but its not "naked"

so its up to you, whatever you want to do the doctor wont care whether its shaved or not

There really isn't a "supposed to" in this situation. It's more of a personal preference. No one will think you're an idiot either way. If you do choose to shave, though, make sure you do so carefully. Ingrown hairs in that area are not tings that you will ever want to experience.

It doesn't matter. These people are trained medical professionals; they've seen HUNDREDS of naked patients. I mean, when you've ALREADY seen it all, what could come as a surprise? Do whatever you're most comfortable with, and if you don't ALREADY shave, I'd venture to say you're most comfortable just the way you are; and that's perfectly fine. Either way, you won't "look like an idiot", I promise. (:

This isn't precisely answering the question, but you seem nervous, so I figure I should mention they don't just "look" down there, they also do the hernia check... so don't be surprised when you're asked to cough--the less shock in an awkward situation the better.

The doctors don't care. They have people who shave, others who don't. It's not unhealthy for you, and a majority of the people go both ways. There is no majority. So, they expect some to be shaven, some to not be.
