what's ego and eco mean?

Ego has many meanings, but it is usually used when referring to a person that thinks too highly of themselves. AKA, people who believe that they are the best at anything. Usually, people try to keep it down.
Eco is not a word, it is usually used for a shortened form of "Ecologogy".
