week and a half period realted to seasonale?

Question Posted Friday October 7 2005, 10:55 pm

Okay so my gynocologist put me on seasonale and it gives you 1 period every 3 months. Well this is my first time on this medicine and im only on the second month around the time my period would normally be. So I've had this "period" for about a week and 5 days and my cramps arent even like period cramps, they are sharp pains not like aches. Is it possible that I'm pregnant, the lining of my uterus is cleaning out, or i had a miscarrage? I want to go to the doctor cause it hurts and the blood is brown not red... what's wrong with me? Please be honest... can I still bleed and be pregnant?

well basically all i can think of is that.. because you get 1 period every 3 months, your periods that got skipped, dont just dissappear, they just all come at once.. so its like 3 periods in one. 3x's your normal period. i dont think there is anything wrong with you, its just the seasonale working its way through. and also if this is your first time using it, it might be worse now, because youve never had it before, so hopefully it will get better later on. but if you are seriously worried call your doctor, tell her whats up. ask for good cramp killers (oh IcyHot cream works nice.. just rub it on your lower stomache area.. it helps.)

Yes, you can still be pregnant when you have your period. It is possible. You need to go to your doctor and speak with him about this SOON because this is irregular. I wish you the best of luck.

First, you CAN bleed and be pregnant. But the chances of that are very unlikely. On Seasonale, especially in the first six months, you get a lot of spotting. "Spotting" can be just a few drops, or a whole period worth of blood. It all depends on the person. Sharp pains can be your "cramps" in different areas and you're just not used to it. You should go to the gynocologist though, and get an internal exam so they can tell you EXACTLY whats wrong.

my opinon is that the pill is causin this to happen because you are slowing down your hermones and it has side effects like this. if you are sexau;;y active it can be a possibiklty.. i think you might want to go back to the doctor and talk to them about.. hope this helps you out.
