font color
i am trying to change the color of my font in my AIM profile to a color besides the colors they offer. i found a webpage that gives you the color codes, but it doesn't give you the code to insert it into. does anyone know how to change your profile/font text to a new color? thank you

A program called "AppleSauce" will give you any and every color you can think of. It's a quick, easy, and what's seemingly 'safe' download. You can download this at:

Go to this website:

Pick the color you want(there will be a code).
Now go to your buddylist and click My Aim at the top and then click Save buddylist. Uncheck everything except for text compostition and viewing settings. Save it to your desktop.
Now open Notepad. Go to File and then click Open. Where it says Files of type, make it to All Files. Open it, lol.
Now look where it says Text color and you'll see a code. Just change the code to the code of the color you want. Save it.
Now go back to your buddylist and click on My Aim and then click Load buddylist. Load it, and you'll have the color you want.

You can download applesauce. I have it and you can choose any colors you want for AIM. Here is the link.

You can also do a way of color codes. I`ll tell you the steps.
Go to Start and click on Run. Type in regedit and click Ok.
Find where it says HKEY_CURRENT_USER & then open that file.
Go down and find Software & open it.
Findwhere it says American Online. Open it. Find AOL Instant Messanger, open it. Find Current Version and open that. You shouldn't be looking for these files. After you open one they should be there.
After you opened Current Version go down and find Users. Open it. Find your screen name and click on it. Go down and click on IM. After you did you will see a whole bunch of things. Find where it says Font Color and there you can put your color code.

okay first go to save buddy list and just ONLY check text composition and viewing settings. save it as 'aim color' then open notepad and go to load buddy list and drag 'aim color' to the notepad and let go. there shouldbe all these words and things. then under textcolor delete the numbers and put the color number you want in and then save it from the notepad. then go to my aim load buddylist and click on 'aim color' and load. you have to x the IMs for it to work. hope i helped! if you have any questions just ask me

well it seems that you have the "old" aim. Download the knew verison...aim.com
But before go to my aim, (on ur buddy list)
then save buddy list. Then sign off and download it!
